Choose the Right Record Holder
The correct office depends on what happened and where the person is in the process.
- For a booking photograph, transfer record, or current-custody route, use the county custody and record path.
- For an incident or arrest report, contact the police department that made the arrest, such as Paterson, Clifton, or Passaic.
- For a court result after an arrest, use NJ Courts Find a Case.
- For a warrant concern, contact the issuing court or the Sheriff's Warrant Division; the wanted-fugitives page lists the official routes.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use the NJDOC offender search.
- For federal or ICE custody, use the BOP locator or ICE detainee locator.
